1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FaceSentry ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

FaceSentry provides AI-powered facial recognition monitoring, deepfake detection, NSFW content classification, and automated legal takedown assistance. The Service scans publicly accessible web content and compares it against biometric profiles you create.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Family plan accounts may include minors, but the account holder must be a legal guardian.
  • You may only upload photos of yourself or individuals for whom you have legal authority to act.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use FaceSentry to:

  • Monitor, stalk, or harass any individual.
  • Upload photos of individuals without their consent or legal authority.
  • File fraudulent DMCA or TAKE IT DOWN Act notices.
  • Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our AI models.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

6. Legal Takedowns

FaceSentry generates DMCA takedown notices and TAKE IT DOWN Act removal demands based on information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in any notice filed on your behalf. Filing a false DMCA notice carries legal penalties under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(f).

7. Accuracy and Limitations

While our AI models achieve high accuracy, no detection system is perfect. FaceSentry may produce false positives (incorrectly flagging content) or false negatives (missing content). The Service is a tool to assist you, not a guarantee of complete protection.

8. Intellectual Property

All AI models, software, and content on FaceSentry are owned by MeltingPixels LLC. You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading photos, you grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

FaceSentry is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: missed detections, false positives, platform non-compliance with takedown requests, or data loss.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
